OVP 2019.12 Release Update
- VNF testing during DTF DDF event in Prague was successful, showing the VNF tooling appears ready for certification.
- Remaining to do:
- Update sidebar documentation for 2019.12 release information
- Need to create materials for VNF certification processes.
- Deploy updated Dovetail portals to the live site
- Complete test cycles and publish badges for NFVI and VNF products using the updated portals.
- Open questions, will LF do any press around the program launch or the first VNFs listed in the portal?
OVP 2.0 Update
- During the DTF DDF event last week in Prague, there was general agreement to send out a call from interest / participation commitments to stand an OVP 2.0 work stream under CVC, to focus on program development for Could Native could native technologies.
- The formal call for participation is being drafted now, and will be sent out via LFN channels to the widest audience possible.
- In order for the work stream to start, there will need to be a good showing of committed responses (i.e. names / volunteers) for the work stream.

OVP 2020 Release Planning
- The first OVP 2020 release will likely focus on the GA release of the CNTT reference certification testing of the NFVI platform, expected in Q3.
- Beginning shortly (late Q1), the reference certification (RC1) should begin beta testing.
- Dovetail team will need to develop a work plan to support the transition to the reference certification testing, where testing is being completed using the Xtesting framework.
- VNF Testing
- Enhancements to the existing testing are being discussed.
- Dealing with some technical debt and clean up in the current testing implementation.
- VNF / NFVI testing per CNTT profiles
- Performance Testing of VNF and NFVI
- Need to determine a work plan for this, first of which, who would be responsible for development of this testing (OPNFV, ONAP, etc.).
- Lincoln Lavoie will create an 2020.Q3 release wiki page to capture the details and track progress of the release.
