Tracking Your Organization's Contributions with LFX Insights
LFX Insights gives your organization broader visibility into how your employees are contributing across LFN projects -- including code commits, issue activity, mailing list participation, and more.
LFN-wide Insights: https://insights.linuxfoundation.org/collection/details/lfn
Each LFN project also has its own dedicated Insights page with more detailed metrics. Links to project-specific Insights pages can be found on each project's wiki.
Important: Employee Affiliation Must Be Set Correctly
Insights attribution is only as accurate as your employees' profile data. For your organization's contributions to be correctly attributed, each contributing employee must set their "Current Organization" in their Individual Dashboard.
Employees can update this at: https://openprofile.dev/edit/profile
For employees with a diverse contribution history across multiple organizations or time periods, they can also sync their LinkedIn account or manually add work history dates at: https://openprofile.dev/my-work-history
If contribution data still appears incorrect after profiles are updated, employees can open a support ticket at https://support.linuxfoundation.org.
Participating in LFN Governance
The Governing Board
Participation in the LFN Governing Board is open to Member organizations. Information about the Governing Board structure and voting membership can be found in the LFN Agreement & Funding Charter.
The Directed Fund is composed of Platinum Members, Gold Members, Silver Members, and Associate Members. All Members must be current members of the LF (at any level) in good standing to participate.
There is a maximum of 26 Platinum Members (the "Platinum Cap"), which can be raised by vote of the Governing Board.
Project Governance
Each LFN project governs itself through a Technical Steering Committee (TSC) or equivalent body. Participation in project governance is open to active contributors regardless of membership status. Review the LFN Lifecycle States & Guidelines for an overview of how LFN projects are structured and what is expected at each lifecycle stage.
Logo Display
Logo display on the LFN website requires active membership. Logos are added automatically via our Landscape tool on the day membership becomes active.
Member organizations can update their logo and company description at any time via the MyOrg Dashboard.
Organizations that are active contributors but are not Members are not eligible for logo display at this time. If your organization is interested in becoming a Member, please see the enrollment steps above.
