Status | PENDING TSC REVIEW Set this initially when submitting your proposal. PENDING TAC APPROVAL Change to this once your project TSC has approved the proposal. APPROVED Change to this once the TAC has approved your project. The project will then be published on the LFX Mentorship Platform for mentee applications. MENTEE SELECTED Set this status when you have selected your mentee. |

Funding | FUNDED UNPAID Select one and delete the other. Funded mentorships include a mentee stipend paid in two installments (midterm and final). Unpaid mentorships provide the same structured experience without financial compensation. |
Description
Describe the project in detail. Provide at least two or three paragraphs describing the task. Include the problem or opportunity in need of effort, as well as a description of the probable implementation path and steps to explore and fix the problem or realize the opportunity. The more detail you can provide on the project page, the more likely potential mentees will understand what you are looking for.
Additional Information
Provide links to wiki entries, release-plan notes, and/or other web references that would be helpful information to potential mentees.
Learning Objectives
Well-developed learning objectives are an integral part of providing a positive mentorship experience and demonstrate a well-organized and robust project. Introduction to open source culture and collaboration tools should be a required learning objective for all mentorship projects. Additional learning objectives may include soft/hard skills the mentee will learn, how the mentee will be mentored or supervised, professional or networking opportunities, etc.
Expected Outcome
List the deliverable(s) (features, applications, reports, etc.) to track progress.

List the LF Networking project(s) this mentorship is related to or adding features or functionality to, e.g. Nephio, ONAP, OpenDaylight, FD.io, Anuket, LFN Super Blueprints, L3AF, CNTi, Paraglider, Duranta, Essedum.

Mentees are required to be enrolled in an accredited higher education institution (undergraduate or graduate program) to be eligible. If a specific education level is preferred or required for this project, please specify here.

Preferred Hours and Length of Mentorship
Full-time (40 hours a week for 12 weeks during the summer) or Part-time (20 hours a week for 24 weeks starting in summer and ending in fall)
