Wiki migration

• @Casey Cain During the discussion, we talked about the deployment and highlighted some unresolved issues. Specifically, it was mentioned that the links for the "Create new meeting minutes" template are not functioning properly. Currently, efforts are underway to resolve this issue in collaboration with Atlassian and K15.

  • @Robert Varga noted that he’s having some issues with Jira and Cloud and requested the current version of the data center and the current version of the cloud.

  • @LJ Illuzzi noted that some users are experiencing access difficulties and setup a meeting with Casey later to resolve.

HEXAeBPF

• @LJ Illuzzi introduced @Shankar Malik and he spoke about HEXAeBPF and provided a short demo.

• UPF vs BPF

  • What are the differences?

    • @Shankar Malik

      • In general UPF, packet filtering is done at layer 7(application layer) following the whole kernel stack within the system.

      • Whereas in eBPF based UPF(HEXA_UPF), we bypass the whole kernel stack and filtering of packets done at layer 2 on kernel without following the whole kernel stack that overall leads to higher throughput and lower latency.

Events

• @Casey Cain explained that we have elected not to have another developer event for the entirety of the LFN. We plan to have our next developer event in 2025.

  • Communities in need of a 1-2 day Developer Event/Hackathon to support their development cycle are still important, and we would be happy to support such events.
