Meeting is open to all.

TSC self-nomination/nominations are open in perpetuity. Contributors of current integration projects are encouraged to join the TSC, at least for the time while there project is in development, to help guide the program. Potential to combine TSC and bi-weekly status call.

 

Project Presentations & Updates:

  • 5G WOX Gateway presentation

    • Joey Padden, VP of Network Architecture at Helium

  • Duranta/O-RAN

    • Initial scope- To minimize the total energy consumption of the RAN (e.g., O-RU, O-DU, O-CU) using techniques like cell sleep mode, carrier switching, and dynamic resource management.
      Non-RT RIC for long-term optimization policies and SMO for overall management.

    • Aligned with O-RAN.WG1.TS.Use-Cases-Detailed-Specification-R004-v18.00, October 2025

      • Use case proposed = 4.21 Network energy saving (with simplifications)

      • Targeting a demo/PoC in February (stretch goal), in time for ORAN Alliance F2F meeting

        • Dependency- availability of Duranta R1 in January

    • Anticipated to be a multi-phase effort

  • Proposal to add a column for higher level network function associated with each entry, example; slicing, security, UPF integration, IoT (visual inspection), etc.

    • The goal is that each completed project get the same marketing treatment (i.e. Marketing Plan execution) where the technology is highligthed and the participants and contributing companies are recognized.
