Agenda
The project's Antitrust Policy is linked from the LF and project websites. The policy is important when multiple companies, including potential industry competitors, are participating in meetings. Please review it, and if you have any questions, please contact your company's legal counsel. Members of the LF may contact Andrew Updegrove at the firm Gesmer Updegrove LLP, which provides legal counsel to the LF.
Action Item Review (Backlog)
AI & Observability
Observability - We did not go further than use case analysis. Is there appetite for anything else or can we dissolve the workgroup?
LFN AAIF Whitepaper draft - https://docs.google.com/document/d/17mkvid_0r8r3K1VZMMrAKftFi_iaqcC_8MriBtv9Puw/edit?usp=sharing
TAC Election
An additional 2 seats currently held by @Fatih Nar (AI) and @Amy Zwarico (Security) are also up for election.
TAC will decide the “theme” of these seats for this election period.

AI & Threat Identification presentation
Presenters: Maggie Cogdale (NSA), Jeff Pitcher and Yatis Dodia (Georgia Tech Research Institute)
Research Focus: Network observability and anomaly detection in 5G networks using AI/ML
Key Points:
Created an open source 5G lab testbed using Open Network Automation Platform (ONAP)
Focused on detecting cyber threats through performance and fault metrics
Used MITRE FIGHT 5G threat guidance framework
Simulated a Distributed Slice Mobility Attack (denial of service attack exploiting auto-scaling)
Implemented solution on SD Core and Open 5GS cores
Collected metrics via Prometheus and streamed through Strimzy Kafka
Applied autoencoder AI model for anomaly detection
Successfully identified malicious UE (User Equipment) and affected network slices
Demonstrated potential for autonomous detection and mitigation actions
Applications: Intent-based policy enforcement, predictive resource optimization, dynamic micro-segmentation, and root cause analysis

TAC Elections
An additional 2 seats currently held by @Fatih Nar (AI) and @Amy Zwarico (Security) are also up for election.
TAC will decide the “theme” of these seats for this election period.
Self-nominations are now open.
After discussion, the TAC agreed to keep the AI seat as it is, and update the language for the Security seat to include Observability responsibilities.
Casey will distribute the vote via email after the language has been updated.
