OTIC Plan and Status

Request to move off Confluence - options

  • Move to GitLab Wiki

    • Reference - https://gitlab.com/ocudu/ocudu/-/wikis/home

    • Current limitation is that, at minimum, "Developer" is needed to edit wiki. LJ working with LF IT to prove-in other options.

      • Options for GitLab wiki:

        • Setup a custom role to allow wiki edit permissions for a lower role

        • Implement a CI job; store the wiki in a directory off the main repo that it's attached to and then have a CI job that pushes the changes into the wiki repo when the changes are merged. This also allows review of workflow on the wiki. This is proven on Github, not proven, by LF IT, in GitLab.

        • Make everyone at least a "developer" which has these implications

  • wiki.ocudu.org (if the project stays on Confluence)

Action Items

All TSC members should set up their LF ID (https://openprofile.dev) in case they have not done so before and make sure they can edit pages on the wiki.
@LJ MRs for additions to the CONTRIBUTING.md and README.md
LJ Illuzzi: who runs ocudu events?, venue, announcement, CFPs, etc. The LF Events team will help with coordinate and run events.
