Olivier SmithMATRIXXMarc Price

Olivier Smith has been an active member of the CVC starting with the former OPNVF program, and later helping to launch the Anuket Assured program.  Olivier is engaged across multiple open source communities including Linux Foundation for Networking, the CNCF, and the Telecom Infra Project where he is focused on developing and promoting cloud native best practices for the telecom industry.  He has over 20 years of telecom software development and leadership experience.  He has held senior management positions at leading telecom companies, worked as a telecom strategy consultant, and held numerous technical roles during his time at a global systems integration firm.

Olivier has both the experience and collaborative spirit to help drive the next phases of the Anuket Assured program.  Anuket Assured has made inroads, but the journey has just begun.  Now more than ever, there is a need for better collaboration and coordination across Linux Foundation communities to bring meaningful results to service provider and vendor communities, to enable the industry to confidently adopt cloud native solutions and practices while transitioning from older technologies.

Olivier is the right person to lead the CVC in this next phase, coordinating across LF communities to bring further clarity and focus towards adaption of verified cloud native infrastructure and workloads.

He is also participating in CNF support and VNF/CNF Test automation support in ONAP CNF Task force group, which would help in OVP 2.0 for CNF badging.

Earlier he was working as committer in OpenStack HEAT (Cloud Orchestrator) and Tacker(ETSI NFV Orchestrator) projects. And in total, he is  having 18 years of domain experience in management and orchestration (MANO) of ICT industries includes Datacenter, virtualization, Cloud, container, NFV and SDN.
