Agenda

  • Start the Recording

  • We will start by mentioning the project's Antitrust Policy, which you can find linked from the LF and project websites. The policy is important where multiple companies, including potential industry competitors, are participating in meetings. Please review and if you have any questions, please contact your company legal counsel. Members of the LF may contact Andrew Updegrove at the firm Gesmer Updegrove LLP, which provides legal counsel to the LF.

Recognition program

  • @djhunttalked about the first draft of the LFN Community Badging program.

  • Discussion ensued around how long the badges are visible on a profile or identifying the dates where someone was a leader or last contributing date

  • @Ed Warnicke suggested that we update the info.yaml scheme to help identify the leader/PTL badges.

    • Agreed that it may be difficult to apply this to sub-committees.

  • Suggestion to speak to others who have implemented similar programs to hear what challenges and limitations they faced.

    • @djhunt @Kenny Paul @Casey Cain @Ed Warnicke @Brandon Wick volunteered to investigate further.

  • @Ed Warnicke suggested that we start with Committer badges and then extend out from there as we learn better ways to implement the program
