      • Future proof, not just wireless, what are the expectations of a blueprint? How does it promote open source adoption? integration projects become obsolete quickly; a need to be maintained, periodic releases and updates. Service provider champion, end user.

      • No followup on existing projects, projects are one-offs. How do we establish ongoing engagement?

  • CNTi- discussion on how CNTi might be included in 5G Super Blueprint and/or Reference Open Source Testbed

Discussion

  • Muddasar- possible use Test Suite within the CICD pipeline for validation against best practices.

  • Muddasar- provide education on Test Suite to self-access, promote, self-discovery, and discovery of new use cases.

  • Lincoln-I do think there is a bit of a "packaging" issue on a lot of the OS projects.  For example, when we use Open 5GS in a reference deployment, it's not packaged well for cloud deployment (today), similar for OAI.  For the new Duranta, it will also be interesting too. I think that is what Muddasar was hinting at, and if we can help make that better for the projects, it will make them easier to consume and easier to "deploy" in the reference labs.

  • Martin- traction with Free5GC

  • Muddasar- suggests working with OAI/Duranta, and ORAN-SC

    • Lincoln- OAI can be containerized but, to my knowledge, it has not been tested for cloud native

  •  

Action Items

  • Run the test suite against an upcoming, or next playbook, 5G SBP project

    • Lincoln- Yes and no, I don't think we can yet hold "all" components to the CNTI requirements / testing
      But for the compoents that can meet that requirement, I think it could be a good CI gate

  • Create a referencne CNF. This is being done with Free5GC
