Presentation of Leaf for Incubation Review:

  • Santhosh Fernandes presented the Leaf project, highlighting its achievements and current status.

  • The project has been in the sandbox for over two years and is seeking to move to the incubation stage.

  • Key features, architecture, and use cases of Leaf were discussed, including its role in orchestrating eBPF programs and its deployment at Walmart for Black Friday sales.

3. Discussion on Leaf's Current State and Future Roadmap:

  • The discussion focused on the criteria for incubation status, including company diversity, contributor diversity, and the project's roadmap.

  • Concerns were raised regarding the project's current Walmart-centric contributor base.

  • Potential collaborations with Qbomer and Cilium were mentioned as opportunities to diversify contributions and use cases.
