VNF Validation Testing (MVP work)
HEAT VNF Progress
VVP team has their lab stood up, and is working on making the Robot test scripts a little more generic.
Team will provide sample results (report) output to the
TOSCA VNF Progress
Having weekly meetings with teams. Finalizing the work plan for changes required for VNFSDK, etc. Being captured here TOSCA VNF Compliance and Validation Requirements Proposal for R5.
Still working to setup the test (lab) environment
Discussion of Trevor Lovett's comment to VNF Validation Minimum Viable Product on June 25.
Diagram Question 1: Tests for HEAT would be contributed to the Integration project directly.
Maybe a show / test / demo of the the User Story and User Experience for each team (HEAT and TOSCA), during the next week (July 15, 2019).
Diagram Question 2: VTP usage - will depend on the outcome of the User Story reviews
Diagram Question 3: LCM requirements - Need to clarify LCM really means starting with the Health Check API (will depend on the outcome of initial testing), but not the full set of LCM APIs currently included in ONAP for the first release.
Diagram Question 4: Dovetail Integration - Need to ensure results / report / output can be consumed by the OVP portal. The validation testing may use a separate automation framework (i.e. tests are not run using the Dovetail container, but could be run by the Integration Project's Robot scripts).
How is the compliance testing also run as a requirement for this testing (currently run by Dovetail or VVP)?
We do need the compliance and validation results / report to be a single submission to the Dovetail portal.
Diagram Question 5: Common Library - show / demo for the User Story may help define this better.
Open Discussion Point 1: Test Environment - Who owns this item, how is it defined?
Need to describe the open stack instance that is required, ONAP version, etc.
For the "hardware" requirements, is it possible to point to something like the OPNFV Pharos definitions, or can we refer to a definition coming from CNTT as a reference architecture.
This needs more investigation.
Discussion of Steven Stark's comment to VNF Validation Minimum Viable Product] on June 28.
Out of time, deferred to the call next week.
